A group of MOLDAC assessors performed a study visit to SWEDAC, the National Accreditation Body in Sweden and to other relevant institutions in the field of accreditation from 24 to 27 March this year, in the frame of the Twinning Project. According to the program, MOLDAC representatives participated as observers in the assessments conducted by SWEDAC at two calibration laboratories and visited SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden (Technical Research Institute of Sweden). During the visit at Technical Research Institute of Sweden, which is designated as the National Standards Laboratory, MOLDAC representatives were introduced to ways to ensure measurement traceability to international standards. A visit was organised to the National Standards Laboratory for Temperature. The group of MOLDAC assessors witnessed the assessments of calibration laboratories in electricity and also for force and temperature. In the context of preparing MOLDAC to become signatory to the EA MLA, the experience gained by assessors in the accreditation of calibration laboratories is very important.
