On 29th of January, 2014, the National Accreditation Centre of the Republic of Moldova (MOLDAC) have signed the Collaboration Agreement with the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), the purpose of which is to establish the cooperation framework of the parties as components of quality infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova.
The objective of collaboration between MOLDAC and NIM is to ensure traceability of measurements to national and international standards, to ensure the veracity of the testing, calibration, metrological verifications, medical tests, inspections results performed by laboratories and inspection bodies accredited by MOLDAC
The collaboration between the parties provides the creation of joint working groups, joint organization of seminars, workshops and trainings, information sharing, launching of joint projects and other activities of mutual interest.
Considering that in the context of the MOLDAC application to become a signatory to the Recognition Agreement with the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA MLA), the aspect of traceability is a major one, the cooperation between MOLDAC and NIM will help solve the problems on traceability of measurement results.
The basic activities of the agreement have already started, within the working meeting of the experts of MOLDAC and NIM has been addressed the problem of calibration and measurement capability of NIM, information to be presented to EA assessors in the context of EA MLA application.
